Sea World!!

WooHoo!! Colton's First Real trip to Sea World!! In November of 2010 we went to San Antonio's BBQ Kick Off which was in Sea World's parking lot. I was so bummed that Colton's first time to Sea World was the parking lot where he wouldn't be able to go see everything. Part of the park was open and we did take Colton in to see the dolphins and the aquarium and of course we bought him his first Shamu. You can read all about that time here.

Let me start by saying how much I Love Sea World! I have been going to Sea World ever since it opened in 1988. My Mom and Dad took me all the time. Growing up and still now I have the dream of becoming a whale/dolphin trainer. I want to get in the water with those animals and swim with them and jump off of Shamu's snout high in the air! I get goosebumps and so emotionally every time we sit at a show and watch the animals perform. Maybe because it is something I love so much or beacuase when Mom was a alive we would go there all the time. I went to Sea World camp as a kid and was able to spend the night at Sea World. We slept in the aquarium and my group slept in the shark room. Very neat experience! I still remember where I had my sleeping bag set up and show Cody every time we go!

While we were dating Cody and I got season passes every season. I don't know if he really likes it as much as I do, but I know he likes how happy it makes me to be there. Since we moved to Katy we really haven't been in a while. It makes me so sad that we don't live in San Antonio to go more often. While we were in town for Grandma's birthday party and a friend's wedding we spent one of the day's at Sea World. We were so excited to show him a very special place to us. Cody kept joking that he was going to have to keep an eye on two kids. Mommy and Colton!

The day was so much fun, we all had a Blast! Colton did great and Loved it!! Ready for the next time we get out there, looking forward to the fall weather!

Daddy & Colton feeding fish to the sea lions.

Baby sea lions all furry.

Looking at the window at them. He loved that it was at his height!

Looking at the lorikeets. Cody and I love coming here and feeding them nectar. It wasn't feeding time, but we were able to see the birds up close.

First show was the Clyde & Syemour sea lion show. His eyes were Glued to the stage! I loved seeing how into it he was!

Pointing to the sea lions.

They are doing flips!

Sitting by the flamingos waiting to go see Shamu!

New thing at Shamu stadium, you can tell that our world is all about technology. You text your name to a specific animal and that animal will say your name in the bubble on the big screen. Check out Colton's bubble with the sea horse!!

Mommy & Colton at the show. iPhone pic.

The whales were swimming around and he spotted them.

My Beautiful family at the Shamu show.

Wanting some water but he did not want to take his eyes off the water!

His eyes were glued again to the animals and what was going on.

Mama and baby

Waiting on the ski show to start. He figured out how to use the mister on the water bottle. Oh boy, he Loved that!

So excited becasue there were boats!! He loves boats!!

Great pic of my two boys!!

Every show he just stared!

Clapping because everyone else was clapping!

Zonked out after a long, fun day! We didn't even make it to the aquarium and dolphins, he fell asleep on the way, next time!

We moved him to the car and he stayed asleep.

Sea World isn't too far from Castroville. Castroville is on the way to the deer lease and we would always stop at the BEST bakery and get some delicious food!! The taxidermist that we use is also in Castroville. Since it wasn't too far away and he was asleep we went about 15 miles down the road and picked up some yummy bread and cookies and Uncle Jay's buck.
Haby's!!!!!

Cody called his brothers and the put their order in! Did we buy enough!?!?

Realistic Taxidermy! Thanks Joe for all of the wonderfu mounts you have done for our family! Awesome work!
