1st Steps!

Colton did it!! He walked!!! Weeks away from his first birthday he took his first steps!! All summer long he pushed his little walker around and walked around the coffee table and now he is walking on his own. He walked back and forth to Daddy and I and thought that it was so much fun! He held onto something every time he would walk between us. I love the smile he was so proud of his accomplishment! Now he can start at his new day care. He had to be walking to start at the new place and in his new classroom for safety reasons. I was so worried he wasn't going to be walking in time but he did it!! Way to go Big Boy!! Mommy & Daddy are so proud of you!! Here are a few other pictures of him walking in the days to follow.

Big Beach! "Port Aransas"

Full day at the beach, Big Beach as we like to call it with family and friends. Big Beach is really Port Aransas. We all grew up going there and now we are taking our kids there to play and have fun! Colton loves the beach and does so well there. It's nice that he enjoys being outside and doing a lot of the things that we like to do.

Kemah & NASA

Uncle Lanny, Aunt Holly, Reese & Riley came to Katy for a visit! Since they were here we had to do the fun tourist things around the Houston area. And the cool thing was is that we had never been to Kemah or NASA before so we had a very fun and busy weekend!

The Aquarium which is a restaurant and aquarium had an awesome exhibit where you could pet stingrays! We spent so much time in this area and had a blast!!!

4th of July Rockport, Texas

4th of July!!! Back in Rockport! We have been celebrating 4th of July in Rockport for many years now, since before Cody and I were married. It's always a great time with family & friends! This year there was an Art Festival so a big group of us headed down there and enjoyed music, food, looking at booths and hanging out. Firework time we all load up on everyones boats and head out on the water and tie up with everyone and hang out. It is very fun watching the fireworks on the water. The kids hang out in the water because we are in Little Bay, the water is about to your knee, not deep at all. We bring food on the boats and we eat dinner and enjoy celebrating America!! This year we did not take Colton out on the boat. We were nervous how he would be since he is not a fan of the life jacket and it would be a late night. Cody's Aunt Betty came to Lanny & Holly's house and watched him for us.

Waterpark in Rockport 2010

One of the weekends we were in Rockport we took all of the kids to the waterpark/community pool while the boys went fishing. We had a great time and the kids loved swimming together! Colton enjoyed the water spouts and crawled all over the place! 

This is his walker that pretty much taught him how to walk. We called it his "old man walker!" When he needed to turn he flung that walker around and went on his way!! It was a great cheap purchase that helped him move all over the place!
