Trick or Treating

We had fun playing in the front yard and hanging out with the neighbors and now it is time to go trick or treating. Colton was a little shy at first which really surprised Cody and I. He warmed up and got comfortable and understood what we were doing and had a great time. Of course, who wouldn't be excited to get a bucket full of candy! 

Ms Amy, the Best neighbor we could have ever asked for! She is Colton's Grandma here and he adores her!

Ms Amy and GG, her mom, passed out candy in our driveway for us and for them while we went to the houses.

 Riding on our new John Deere tractor that G-Pa found at a garage sale for $3 and Grand Dude had to fix it so he could ride it. This is the coolest tractor, super heavy and brand new Very expensive! Thanks G-Pa and Grand Dude for such a fun tractor!

Halloween 2011

Halloween time!! It's time for our Sir Topham Hatt Train Conductor to come out! Colton looked adorable in his conductor overalls. We borrowed this outfit from my friend Jenn, her son Campbell wore this one year. 

We actually had three different costumes for him. He has been funny lately about some things and we just weren't sure how he was going to be about dressing up. He chose from Spiderman, Sheriff Woody and train conductor. The train conductor outfit was the one costume that was like normal clothes. He started to get a little funny about wanting to wear it so Cody and I pulled out our overalls and we dressed up with him. We pretty much looked like the Beverly Hillbillies but we had fun! 

He Loves Skittles so he was already eating some and so excited for candy.

First stop was at our house with Daddy giving Colton his favorite, skittles! 

 The progression of pictures here cracks me up. He was worn out with me because I told him to say cheese. In the third picture you can tell he is just sticking his head out saying, "cheeeeeseeeee!" (Hurry up Mother!)

Check out my fun pumpkin next to me!! I put a design on it using puffy paint! Love how it came out! 

Carving our pumpkin

This was our first pumpkin to carve with Colton. Grand Dude was the lucky one who carved a wonderful pumpkin for us! Colton decided he wanted Mickey Mouse!! We looked on the iPad for a picture and Grand Dude went to town! 

It wouldn't be a Grand Dude project without some power tools!! Grand Dude brought out a big Dremmel!  It worked very well and so much easier than a knife. I think he had a great time doing this for Colton and that it brought back some memories doing it when I was a kid. Thanks Grand Dude for carving Colton's first pumpkin!!

Uncle Tim & Aunt Chandra came over for dinner and to hang out along with Grand Dude and Nana's neighbors. We all had a really great time and enjoyed watching Grand Dude at work!

Halloween 2010

Colton's 2nd Halloween! Little man was a Pirate this year! Daddy Loves pirates and loves making pirate jokes. In Colton's fish tank we have a sunkin ship and pirate's booty. So the decision to be a pirate was very easy! We put our pumpkins that we decorated from Dewberry Farms and the Pumpkin Patch on our front porch and were ready for people to see them. Daddy stayed home and passed out candy and Colton and I walked around our cul-de-sac and the adjoining street together. That was plenty for him! He had a great time and got the hang of what he was supposed to do. He loved stopping and looking inside his pumpkin at all of his goodies!

Daddy painted this one... It says 55 Sleeps with a Christmas tree. On Halloween there are 55 sleeps until Christmas! And the Crosland family Loves Christmas time!!

Colton's First Halloween!

It's our little pumpkin's first Halloween! Halloween day we went to Sealy to our friend's Judd and Jenn's Fall Festival at their church. Colton was dressed in his pumpkin outfit and  he slept the entire time we were there. It was a great time hanging out outside with friends.

That evening we passed out candy at our house and Uncle Jay and Aunt Shannon came over and hung out with us. Colton ended up sleeping through the entire evening. We did get some good pictures before we started passing out candy while he was awake but once it was time to start trick or treating he was out for the night.
