First time to the Zoo!

Since we have lived in Katy, Reese comes and stays a week with us. She likes to call it Camp Ray Ray! We always do fun art projects and fun things around town. Reese and I took Colton to the Houston Zoo! This was Colton's first trip to any zoo and our very first time to the Houston Zoo! Well, I Loved the Zoo!!! It was a really neat zoo! You could get so close to some of the animals and their areas were pretty much open, not a lot of cages. I loved how you could get so close to the elephants and giraffes! We all had a really great time!!

This is a huge lake right outside of the zoo. You can do paddle boats in there. We saw a Mama duck with about 7 ducklings, it was very cool!! 

Grand Dude & Nana Visit & First Babysitter!

Grand Dude & Nana came up for a visit! This was actually Colton's first night away from both Mommy & Daddy. We were headed to the CCA Banquet in Katy. We had a great time that night out with friends! Colton did great except he was so congested. Grand Dude & Nana had a great time with him and a great weekend hanging out. Colton sure does love his Grand Dude they have a lot of fun together!

Father's Day 2010

Cody's First Father's Day! Cody is an incredible Father! He is very involved in Colton's life and he amazes me everyday with the wonderful bond that he shares with Colton. We enjoyed a nice family day toghether at church and hanging out at home together. I think they look a lot alike especially here. My two handsome boys!!

Boat Ride - Beach - Fishing -- June 2010

Uncle Lanny took Colton on his first boat ride! We practiced the best we could having him wear a life jacket, he just wasn't a fan! He was fine when we were running the boat, but when we were anchored he was not liking the life jacket at all. Luckily when you are not running he didn't have to be all bundled up so tight in his life jacket. Praying next summer will be better since he will be older.

The next day after our 1st try of a boat ride for Colton the girls headed to the beach with all of the kids. While we spent the day in Port Aransas playing the boys were in a fishing tournament, Casting for Kids. They were out most of the day and then we went and met them at weigh in. We had a blast at the beach and the boys had such a great time fishing and they did really well!!

Memorial Day 2010

Memorial Day Weekend we stayed at home this year. We had the Cochran's over for a BBQ and swim at our neighborhood pool. The kids had a great time playing together and the adults enjoyed hanging out and talking while watching the kids play! It's so nice to have a close set of friends with kids around the same age that love playing together! We love you Cochran's!!

 We gave money to the Boy Scouts for us to receive an American flag 5 different holidays throughout the year. Colton Loves when he wakes up and it is right there in our front yard. He just stares out the door at the flag!
