4th of July

It's 4th of July and that means The Crosland's are in Rockport! WooHoo!! Fun times with family and great friends and Lots of memories! We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend and loved being with everyone.

Here are pictures from the evening. This was Colton's first trip on the water for the 4th. He did GREAT! We were nervous since it was going to be a late evening, but everything went smoothly. Well everything went smoothly except for one thing...

Colton got stung bad by a jellyfish! We anchor the boat up to watch the fireworks and it is very shallow so we all wear our swimsuits and get in the water. It is great because it can still be kind of hot. A few of the bigger kids got stung by jellyfish so we decided to not let Colton in the water. Well, Cody got in for a few minutes and Colton saw Daddy get in and had to go in too. Cody held him and everything was fine then all of a sudden he got stung! Cody lifted him up quickly and someone grabbed him, maybe me, it all happened so quickly and we were trying to figure out where he got stung. Aunt Stacy is helping me and has meat tenderizer and we are putting it all over him. Then a few minutes later we spotted his feet and legs. They were covered with welts. We had some benadryl and rubbed it all over. He cried hard for a little bit and then he recovered quickly. He was back up and playing and having a great time! Thankfully it didn't ruin the night for us or anyone else that got stung. He is a trooper and bounced back fast!

Ok... So the new fad right now are feathers. You put them in your hair using a bead. They can stay in for up to 3+ months. Krista bought a lot of different colors and we all put them in our hair. These were rooster feathers. This was the first one I did but it was a bit too bold for me so I went a little more subtle.
