Manners

Colton is learning manners. Cody and I want Colton to grow up with manners and to be respectful. He is very good at saying please and thank you when he wants things and when they are given to him. When we remind him what he needs to say all we say is, "manner" or just give him a look and he knows exactly what he needs to say. He still says please and signs at the same time. Last year they taught him how to sign please and he still does it. We told him he doesn't have to do it but he still does.

I have to say it is the worst when he says and signs please when we are eating. Usually his hands are dirty and he rubs it all over his shirt. He is such a good boy when we eat. I think he takes after Mommy on wanting to be clean. He wants a napkin like Mommy & Daddy and will wipe his hands and mouth multiple times while we are eating. When he is finished eating he will even wipe up his mess on the table. He cracks us up. Some nights he goes through 3 napkins! At least he isn't flinging food all over the room!

We are also working with him to say, "yes ma'am, no ma'am, yes sir, no sir" To say this we do have to prompt him and he will repeat us. This will come in time but he does repeat us.

Cody and I are very proud of him and really want him to be respectful and have manners.
