Bluebonnets

It's that time of the year to take the infamous Texas bluebonnet pictures! Katy is surrounded by rice fields and bluebonnets don't really grow in them, so we took a drive North and headed toward College Station and Brenham. We ended up in Brenham and found a beautiful field of bluebonnets and other wildflowers. When we pulled up we were the only ones there and by the time we left there were about 7 other car loads that had pulled up. I guess we found a pretty good field!

It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and very sunny. Colton was a champ. He did great sitting but was very curious as to what all of the pretty colors moving in the wind were. He immediately went grabbing for flowers! And of course he decided he wanted to put them in his mouth! Cody was snapping pictures and I was trying to get him to look at the camera and get the flowers out of his mouth.

What's in your hand?
A bluebonnet! How does that taste buddy?
Thanks Mom for getting that out of my mouth. Now, this one over here looks pretty tasty!
