Colton's room is ready and waiting for him! Cody and I had such a great time setting his room up. It has been a very busy summer with traveling back and forth to San Antonio and business trips for Cody. Uncle Jay and Aunt Shannon offered to paint the room for us while we were in town for the Friend's Shower. They were a life saver and did a fabulous job on the room. It was so nice to come home and have the room painted!!! Thank you Thank you to you both! Colton is very lucky to have you guys in his life! There are a lot of things in the room that have meaning and I am going to talk about them in the pictures.
View from the door.

His bookshelf that Cody would have liked to build for him but time just ran out.
Leland already guarding the room and making sure Colton is ok. Both Dakota and Leland like to lay in his room. I think they can sense that something is about to happen.
Colton's very own chair. He is ready to go with his Giraffe quilt and his giraffe! My mom's favorite animal was a giraffe. In the room there are a few giraffe's representing her.
The rocking horse by the door was mine that my Dad made me for Christmas of 1983. The lamp on the dresser was mine that Dad made me as well. The dresser was Cody and Toby's dresser that they shared growing up.
The wagon on the side of his crib was a gift from my 4th grade class this year. Of course in his room is the Aggie ABC's!
Aggie Fleece blanket with his name monogrammed on it. Thank you Krista! This blanket will be with him always.
The lamp on the table was my mom's growing up. The lettering above the window says, "We took one look at you, and our hearts stood still."
The wooden car was Cody's Big Dad's (Carl William Tennis). We have the Marine Corps bear and Aggie bear!! I painted that letter in the same colors as I painted his name, the colors are just flipped.
There is the lamp again that Dad had made me as a kid. The glass block/night light I painted.
I bought the glass block and lights at Hobby Lobby, they now sell them pre cut with a hole to put the small line of Christmas lights in (35 count). This took many many coats of paint!! I painted blobs all over to make it look like camo then stamped his name on. I put a coat of modge podge on top to seal the paint and give it a shine. I didn't think it would turn out as well as it did, but I am very pleased with the way it turned out! I had such a fun time making this and I think it looks so great in his room!
I bought these letters online and then painted them. While Reese was visiting she helped me put the ribbon on and tie the bows.

His room looks great!!!
