Vegas, "YES!!!"

Vegas, "YES!!" This is what Colton would say when you asked him, "Are you going to Vegas?" And when he said, "YES!" he would make a fist and pull his arm down and get so excited! One of his teachers from school taught him that!! Doing that made him a hit!! He did it all over Vegas and everybody Loved it!!!

Yes, we headed to Vegas with a 15 month old!! My Dad, Grand Dude got married!!! Off we went for a fun filled wedding weekend!!! We had an awesome 4 days out in Vegas! We were able to see the Hoover Dam which was a first for all of us! That was one of the neatest experiences! I was amazed at the size and how it was built!

Getting ready to take off! Colton enjoyed pulling out all of the magazines. He did AMAZING during the flight. We were very fortunate that it was not a full flight so we had the three seats to ourselves. On the way home we were on a very full flight so we just had the two seats and he stayed in our laps. He was a bit fussy because it was nap time but he went to sleep pretty quickly. We were quite prepared with snacks, drinks, toys, books and the iPad. We really weren't too sure what to expect so we had all sorts of things for him. He did sleep for a little over an hour at the beginning of the flight which was wonderful. Cody and I played Wheel of Fortune on the iPad and enjoyed a tasty beverage. When little man woke up he had some snacks and played with some toys. We watched Handy Manny on the iPad. He Loved looking out the window! Wish I would of had some more pictures from the plane ride but it was a little difficult pulling out a big camera. Next time, this was taken with our phone. 

Dad & Christine drove to Vegas and did the Big tour on the drive up there stopping many different places along the way. It was so nice to have their truck so we could load up and drive around. We rented a car seat and gave Dad the stroller before they left so they had it with them. We did lots of planning! 

After landing we checked into the hotel and then decided to head to the Hoover Dam! We had a jam packed weekend and figured this was the best day to drive over there and see it. I am so thankful we went. Like I said earlier it was Amazing!! These two family pics are from our phones.

Our sweet fam on our first big vacation! Behind us is the new bridge, Hoover Dam Bypass, that they built connecting Nevada and Arizona. This bridge was to develop an alternate crossing of the Colorado River. Before cars would drive on the dam and wind through many sharp curves coming up to the dam. There was an area that you could park and walk across the bridge but it pretty much Freaked me out. I don't know if I could walk across it. Dad & Christine did drive across it though when they were coming into Vegas.

1st morning in Vegas. We stayed at TI, Treasure Island and had a Great view of the strip. We put the chair up to the window and Colton spent a lot of time up on the chair looking out. Vegas is a 2 hour difference from Texas so little man woke up SUPER early!! Notice the first picture, the sun is just starting to come up! It was fine though. We gave him a little breakfast got dressed and went downstairs for a big breakfast buffet. 

Of course while we were there we had to go see the pawn store where the show Pawn Stars is filmed. We really enjoy watching this show. It was pretty cool going there and looking around. Chum Lee was there taking pictures with people but we weren't going to stand in line and wait for a picture. 

We walked around Vegas and checked it out. Here are the newly married couple at this time in the trip inside the Venetian Hotel. Aren't they just precious?!!!
